New Signings

At Thursday night’s Fans Forum we were told that Fev had made 2 overseas signings but it was not possible yet to give us their names. We were also told that they had played in the 2017 World Cup and that their positions covered stand-off, scrum half and hooker. There was also a strong hint that they were currently playing in Australia. We have trawled our records for the 2017 World Cup. We believe that we can almost certainly rule out members of the squads from Australia, England, France, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, United States and Wales. That leaves 6 potential countries and we list below all those that played in the relevant positions. We have crossed out those that seem preposterously unlikely.

Some people have suggested on the Fev fans facebook site that the players are the Boas brothers from PNG and we have to agree that they seem the most likely. The chart below shows all the players who played in the relevant positions for the 6 possible nations in the world cup.

The clubs given are those that they were playing for at the time of the 2017 World Cup.
