A fevnut special: Fev's records and how they progressed through our history

fevnut is often asked questions like 'What is the Rovers record for Points in a Match?' or 'What is the most Tries a Fev player has scored in a season?'.

So, in celebration of our centenary and Gareth Gale getting onto the 'Board of Honour' with his 6 Tries in Match, we have put together the player career, season and match records.

The current records are shown at the top of the each category in navy, bold font, but the charts also show who previously held the record over the past 100 years.

Some of these records will probably never be beaten. A good example is Steve Quinn's records for Career Points and Career Goals which are so far ahead of the previous records that it is hard to imagine them being surpassed.

Another record that is unlikely to be beaten is Cyril Woolford's record for Appearances in a Season - we just don't play so many games nowadays. In the 1959-60 season Fev played 47 games which was the highest number ever. In the final month of that season Fev played nine games and Cyril played in all nine! The only game he missed was a very significant one when Fev beat Australia 23-15. We believe the reason Cyril Woolford missed the Australia match was because he was playing for Yorkshire!
