Past Matches against Halifax

LAST TIME (2021)

In our 100 years, we have so far played 3,680 matches. That match against Halifax in 2008 (see above) had the most points scored in any of them! It was the final game of the season and whatever the result it would have made no difference to either team.

That 1925 Challenge Cup tie has to be one of the most extraordinary ever. First match and first replay drawn with no tries scored in either. Fev won the second replay (at Leeds) 6-2 but there were no tries in that game either.

Do you remember the 2010 play-off matches? Fev won the league finishing 6 points above Halifax in second place. In the Qualifying Semi-Final Fev beat Halifax easily by 46-16 with a hat trick and seven goals from Kyle Briggs.

Fifteen minutes into the second half of the Grand Final at Warrington, Fev were cruising to becoming Champions in a 22-4 lead. The match was then stopped for a long time because of a fire which had started in the stand where the Halifax supporters were situated.

On the resumption Fev had lost their momentum and by the time of the hooter Halifax had drawn level at 20-20 and then went on to kick a drop goal in golden point extra time.
